Data Deletion Instructions
Understand your rights and the process to request removal of your personal data.
Amar Eye Laser Centre respects your privacy and your right to control your personal information. This document outlines how you can request the deletion of your data from our systems.
1What Data Can Be Deleted
Upon valid request, we can delete:
- WhatsApp conversation history stored on our servers
- Phone number linked to appointment booking (non-medical records)
- Appointment metadata linked to online bookings
Note: Medical records required by government regulations or clinical history laws must be retained for a mandatory period and cannot be deleted upon request.
2How to Request Deletion
To request deletion, please contact our support team:
Please include the following in your request:
- Your full name
- Phone number used for service
- Booking ID (if available)
3Verification Process
To prevent unauthorized deletion of medical or personal data, we strictly verify all requests by:
- Sending a verification code (OTP) or confirmation call to the registered phone number.
- Verifying booking details associated with the account.
We strictly do not process deletion requests from unverified third parties.
4Processing Time
It typically takes us 7 to 14 business days to verify and completely remove your data from our active servers and backup systems. You will receive a final confirmation via email or SMS once the process is complete.
5WhatsApp Platform Note
Please note that requesting deletion from Amar Eye Laser Centre does not remove message history stored locally on your device or on WhatsApp's own servers. To delete chat history from your WhatsApp application, you must do so manually within the app. For data stored by WhatsApp (Meta), please refer to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
